The Social Cost of Carbon: The EPA's Stealth Imposition of a Carbon Tax That Will Make Everything More Expensive and Less Efficient

Overview:

The Social Cost of Carbon (SCC) is being used by EPA, NHSTA, and other Federal regulatory agencies to impose a large de-facto carbon tax on the U.S. economy - a tax that the U.S. Congress would never pass.

Why should you Attend: The SCC will seriously impact virtually every U.S. industry and company and will do immense economic and financial harm. It will significantly increase the cost of any product or service that uses energy - which is just about everything. It will radically change the profitability and commercial viability of everything in the economy. The prices of numerous products will be increased significantly, and many firms will have their markets destroyed and will go bankrupt.

The cost of everything will be significantly increased and efficiency degraded: From microwave ovens to electric power plants; from hair dryers to major factories; from vacuum cleaners to new passenger cars and SUVs; from clothes washers to heavy duty trucks; from oil refineries to dry cleaners. For example: A new microwave oven that would ordinarily sell for $150 would cost $200; a new vacuum cleaner that would sell for $300 would cost $400 - and not work as well; a new light duty truck that would sell for $35,000 would cost over $50,000 - and would have less capacity and power; etc.
