John has worked as a scientist and executive in pharmaceutical research for 25 years, at Pharmacia, Novartis, Vertex, and others. He has contributed to three marketed therapeutics. He is currently an independent consultant to the biotech/pharma sector. He is internationally recognized for his research in in silico drug discovery. He was trained as a theoretical chemist at Caltech and the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
